Bulk edit: the same fix on many pages
How Whittle's Bulk edit fixes search listings, product descriptions, photo alt text and collection intros across many Shopify pages at once, with undo.
In short: Bulk edit fixes the same thing on many pages at once. Whittle writes each fix, you check them together, untick anything you don't want, and put the rest live in one go. Every change can be undone from Changes.
The tabs
| Tab | What it fixes |
|---|---|
| Search listings | The title and description Google shows for each product, collection and page. Missing, cut-off or copy-pasted listings lose clicks even when you rank. |
| Product descriptions | Short or copy-pasted descriptions, rewritten from your current description, options and main photo. New-looking facts are flagged for you to check. |
| Photo alt text | Product photos with no description. Whittle looks at each photo and writes what's actually in it. |
| Collection intros | Collections with little or no text get two short paragraphs in your brand voice (Growth and up). This replaces the collection's current description; undo puts it back. |
| Not on Google | With Search Console connected: products and collections Google showed to no one in the last four weeks, and the usual reasons why. |
| On your storefront | What the Whittle SEO theme embed adds, how to switch it on or off, and Shop this post. |
How it works
- Pick a tab. Search by name, address, vendor or type, and tick the pages to fix, or write the top ones in one go.
- Let Whittle write them. Each one counts as an AI fix. See what counts as an AI fix.
- Check them. Edit anything and untick what you don't want.
- Put them live. Every change lands on Changes with an undo.
On your storefront
One switch in your theme editor, under App embeds, turns on everything the Whittle SEO embed adds: search markup on every page, review stars and FAQs on product pages, shipping and return terms on your home page, Shop this post on blog posts, and the broken link log on pages that don't exist. In the theme editor you can turn each part on or off, pick a logo for search results, and change the headings for Shop this post and the FAQs. Switching it off removes it all; your theme's code never changes.
Shop this post
On Growth and up, Whittle picks up to four products for each blog post: ones the post links to first, then ones it names, then the closest match. Posts that don't relate to anything you sell are left alone. In the theme editor you can choose whether prices and sold out products show.
