Website score and SEO audit
How Whittle's website score and SEO audit work: a 0 to 100 score for your store, a score for every product, collection, page and post, and what to fix first.
In short: Your website score is a 0 to 100 rating of how easily Google and AI assistants can find, understand and recommend your store. The SEO audit scores every product, collection, page and blog post on its own, keeps the history, and lists what to fix first.
The website score
The score is built from four parts: your products and pages, AI readiness, your blog, and site basics. Each part shows its own score and a note on what's holding it back.
The SEO audit
- Lists for products, collections, pages and posts, each with a score.
- Open any page to edit its search listing, description, focus keyword, web address, FAQs, photos and alt text, and to hide it from Google.
- The focus keyword check covers the title, description, web address, first 100 words, alt text and current rank.
- Changing a web address adds a 301 redirect from the old one automatically, with undo.
- Score history shows how each page has improved.
Rich results switches
Turn structured data on or off by type, including how-to and recipe markup for every post that has steps. See structured data and rich results.
Search engine controls
- Hide tag pages, search pages, vendor pages and paged lists from Google.
- Load pages faster with speculation rules.
- Remove old duplicate markup that themes and earlier apps left behind.
Languages
With the optional languages permission on, each page shows its search listing in every store language with a score per language, to edit or translate with AI.
