Whittle vs SEO King: an SEO King alternative for Shopify

Short answer: Whittle checks every week whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity name your store (on paid plans), cleans up thin and competing blog posts with an AI writer that never competes with your own posts, lets you undo every change or remove everything it added in one click, and shows the clicks and orders search brought in. SEO King's free plan lists unlimited manual alt text, meta title, meta description and photo updates, a store scan, and Search Console and keyword analytics. Every paid tier lists the same features: unlimited text AI, auto-updating, bulk photo optimization, robots.txt and llms.txt, and advanced JSON-LD. The developer site says the tier is set by your page count and offers a 30-day free trial. On the listing, the developer says premium AI services such as Vision AI, translation, upscaling and ranking lookups use an in-app credit balance, starting with a free $2.00.

When SEO King might fit better

• You need an app today. SEO King is installable now, rated 4.7 from 545 reviews (November 3, 2026), and on the App Store since 2017. Whittle has no reviews yet.
• Price comes first, or your catalog is huge: $9.99 a month for up to 500 pages with unlimited text AI, against $19 for Whittle Pro with 300 AI fixes, and tiers up to 500,000 pages against Whittle's 10,000.
• You want broader translation (40+ languages, an app in 27), Google Merchant Center, image upscaling or background removal, or a 30-day trial.
