Why stores choose Reissue
- Keep Shopify POS as your register. Reissue works in the Shopify admin and a Trade-ins tile in Shopify POS, so there's no second system to keep in sync. Pre-owned items are Shopify products, and consignment sales are caught from Shopify orders, online and in Shopify POS.
- Credit that works everywhere you sell. Native Shopify store credit lands on the customer's account and works online and in Shopify POS, including on the same sale at the register. ConsignCloud's help pages say its store credit and gift cards don't sync to Shopify.

- Pay only for what arrives as described. Nothing is paid before inspection, and a lower grade needs the seller's yes.
- Consignment payouts held through returns. Consignors are paid after your return window, so a return never pays out.
- Tennessee tax and Nashville records. At the register, like-kind credit goes on the matching cart line so tax is charged only on the difference. The Nashville and Davidson County rule holds listings in draft for 15 days and keeps a register for 3 years.
- Pre-owned listings in one click, at real cost. Each accepted item becomes a draft pre-owned product with the credit paid as its cost, so margins stay true.

What the money buys: you can try trade-ins on Reissue's Free plan, then add consignment, payouts held through returns, price tags and secondhand records on the $29 Starter plan. Because Reissue runs on Shopify POS, staff keep the register they already use. Reissue's paid plans have a 14-day free trial and charge $1 per trade-in past the allowance; labels are billed at postage plus 3%, only once scanned. ConsignCloud's App Store listing shows a 14-day free trial and monthly billing. Its pricing page lists unlimited users on every plan, while its App Store listing says Basic covers up to 3 users, so confirm with ConsignCloud. Card processing rates are not stated.
When ConsignCloud might fit better
- Consignment is the whole business. ConsignCloud has been on the Shopify App Store since April 7, 2021, rated 5.0 from 9 reviews (November 3, 2026), says it's used by "1,000s of resellers", and is installable today. Its own POS takes split payments, prints bulk barcode labels and handles consignment checkout, with no item limits on any plan, plus human support and free data import.
- Bank payouts, vendor malls and several locations. It pays consignors by ACH as well as check or cash, names vendor malls, booth spaces, antique malls, galleries and furniture stores, and covers up to 1,000 vendors and 3 locations on Pro. Reissue doesn't offer bank payouts or booth rent and supports one stock location for now.
- You sell on Square too. It syncs with Square as well as Shopify, and offers an API. Reissue works only with Shopify.
Which to choose
- Shopify POS store that takes trade-ins for store credit, with some consignment: Reissue.
- Store that wants to stay on Shopify POS rather than run a second register: Reissue.

Does ConsignCloud work with Shopify POS?
ConsignCloud's help center says items can be published to Shopify POS and online sales channels, and a sale in either system lowers stock in both. Its in-store checkout is its own POS, and its store credit doesn't sync to Shopify.
Is ConsignCloud worth it for a small shop?
If consignment is most of your business, its portal, payouts and POS are built for that. If you mainly take trade-ins on Shopify and consign a few pieces, a $139 system may be more than you need, and Reissue's $29 Starter plan covers consignment.
